Today’s fluff was fashionably early

The top ten, in reverse order, of Thursday’s genuinely exciting transfer rumours:

11. Chelsea have been quoted £83m for the Porto striker Hulk.

11. West Ham United have failed in a bid for the Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic.

11. The Chelsea defender Alex is off to Paris Saint-Germain.

11. Queens Park Rangers will sign the £2.5m Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha.

11. QPR will also spend £4m on the Wigan forward Hugo Rodallega.

11. West Bromwich Albion’s left-back Joe Mattock is off to Birmingham City.

11. Birmingham City’s defender Liam Ridgewell is off to West Bromwich Albion.

11. Wigan want the Rennes striker John Verhoek.

11. And.

11. Erm.
