The 23-year-old defender Thomas Vermaelen is leaving Ajax for Arsenal.
Arsenal coach, Arsene Wenger, believes this signing may be the solution to the defensive problem that Arsenal had during the season.
“This is a good acquisitions. He will be a great asset to Arsenal with his defensive skills” says Wenger.
Vermaelen is a Belgian national team regular, has won the Dutch league in 2004 and has plenty of experience playing Champions League matches.
